INTEGRATED QUALITY AND HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK POLICY

SESTAO BERRI 2010 S.A. is a company owned on a 50/50 basis by the Town Council of Sestao and the Department of Housing, Public Works and Transport. It was established on 11 July 2005 so as to lead and promote the social and urban regeneration of the municipality of Sestao under the Master Plan "Integrating Actions" of Sestao adopted in April 2004 by which all institutions join their efforts.

SESTAO BERRI 2010 S.A. assumes the PRINCIPLES which make up their Quality and Health and Safety at Work Policy, as follows:

• Achieve Total Quality by applying continuous improvement to the optimization of SESTAO BERRI 2010 S.A.’s processes in order to guarantee the fulfilment of the Clients’ expectations in all the Services rendered, based on the following: 

- Client Satisfaction, meeting their demands and the agreed deadlines is the permanent goal of SESTAO BERRI 2010 S.A. To this end, we rely on the Service Charter, which directly informs the user about the commitments we make.

-Instil in employees the aim to serve with the required efficacy and efficiency so as to provide a high quality professional service, friendly and appropriate to the needs of the Client.

• Prevention of Harm and Health Deterioration as a basic principle to carry out the activities of SESTAO BERRI 2010 S.A., achieving safe processes and operations for both the people in the Centre as well as the Collaborators, Clients and Society in general.

• The management undertakes to provide human and material resources to guarantee staff training on Quality and Health and Safety at Work issues which makes it easier for them to become involved in the interpretation and compliance with the procedures and instructions prepared to that end.

• Compliance with Regulatory Requirements and Legislation on Quality, Health and Safety at Work and other requirements subscribed by the organization is considered a priority to carry out the activities of SESTAO BERRI 2010 S.A.

• The management establishes Annual Objectives with regard to Quality and Health and Safety at Work and monitors them through the appropriate indicators. This Integrated Policy will be applied to all the activities and services of SESTAO BERRI 2010, S.A., under normal operation and in emergency situations.

MISSION

We are a state-owned company established by the Department of Housing, Public Works and Transport of the Basque Government and the Town Council of Sestao. We foster and promote the revitalization of Sestao in the social and urban planning spheres so as to contribute to the development and wellbeing of the municipality.

We carry out our work within four lines of action:

• Rehousing management: We deal with the rehousing of all those citizens to whom the law recognizes this right. We accompany citizens in the process of adapting to their new home and ensure that their needs are addressed and met.

• Renovation management: Guidance to residents’ associations, proposing partial or total renovation actions which bring about an improvement of the living conditions of the residents. Obtain public-private collaboration to achieve the best result possible in these renovations.

• Municipal housing rental management: Management and control of compliance with rental agreements as well as management and guidance to resident’s associations. We supervise the correct use and maintenance of homes and common spaces as well as an adequate coexistence. With this and with the appropriate accompaniment, we contribute to ensure optimum quality of life for tenants.

We want to be a benchmark in town revitalization, with a commitment to urban renovation and coexistence improvement. We have a qualified team of experts in intervention in degraded areas at both the level of urban planning as well as the social level so as to be recognized by Sestao as town change and transformation drivers.

SESTAO BERRI 2010, S.A., guarantees its users, employees, suppliers and collaborators, that it complies with Organic Law 15/1.999, on Personal Data Protection (LOPD) and that it abides by the security measures required by laws and regulations aimed at preserving secrecy, confidentiality and integrity in the processing of their personal data.

Personal data will be used in the way and with the limitations and rights granted by the LOPD.

SESTAO BERRI 2010, S.A. also informs that their files with personal data have been duly registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Thus, in compliance with the information duty provided for in Article 5 of Law 15/1.999, of 13 December, on Personal Data Protection, SESTAO BERRI 2010, S.A. informs that the personal data which may be requested will be processed and incorporated into the personal data files existing in the organization.

The collection and processing of the personal data requested by the professionals of SESTAO BERRI 2010, S.A. are aimed at the appropriate management and development of social rehabilitation services. Therefore, users give their express consent to have their data on health (medical, psychological reports…), economic situation, intervention and social circumstances processed in order to have social rehabilitation activities and services managed and developed and be provided with better assistance and monitoring.
